Menu bug

by Benjamin Thomas · in Torque Game Engine Advanced · 02/25/2008 (7:19 pm) · 7 replies

I got TGEA 1.03 about a month ago i got it all setup and i messed with it a few times then after about the 3rd or 4th time i started up the demo on the menu it will no longer let me press the buttons on the bottom of the screen (the ones on the yellow bar) so i cant mess with the options or exit properly. It just stops the mouse pointer at the edge of the yellow bar then it jurks up when i bring the pointer up.I can still get into the interactive walk through and mess with the tools though. Has anybody had this problem before??

First of all: If you're going to post a bug thread (of this kind, input and windows), include your system specs and O/S. We've had several Vista issues.

This bug was first mentioned 4 years ago, so I wouldn't hope for a fix unless someone from the community knows how and why it's happening. It doesn't seem it behaves in the same way for everyone, so perhaps it's hard to nail.

Seems to me it has to do with the start menu or window frame.

Did you make any changes to the scripts?

Was this from the compiled exe or the standard one that ships with TGEA? If it was compiled, is it the debug build or the release?

Edit:
Have you checked your console.log to see if there was a file or two that got munged somewhere in the process and aren't loading correctly?

I edited the prefs.cs file to take it out of fullscreen mode and the problem stopped but now i have to use it in a window :(
