It's about that time again. Time for me to ask Where the updated EULA for HAMMER is?
GG was told it around April, 5 that there would be a new EULA to allow use with Torqu. Where is it?
It is now Going on October, and we've got nothing other than a promise that it will be "available soon"
Will this be before or after Team Fortress 2 comes out?
Come on.. 6 months to add into the EULA
"Can be used to make maps for Half-Life or Torque based games"

Hi Everyone,
Sorry for all the turmoil this new release of Hammer (previously known as Worldcraft) has caused. We weren't aware of how many Torque engine developers had been using Hammer and didn't intend to throw a monkey wrench into your development plans.
Here is what we're planning to do:
* We'll have a new EULA that will allow use with the Torque Engine.
* It will be free of charge for that use.
* The detailed EULA should be available soon and you'll need to download this when it's ready to go.
* We'll post the it at http://www.valvesoftware.com/hlsdk.htm when it's ready to go.
Best of luck with your projects.

It was more of a general rant. Nothing targetted at GG.
More irritated that Valve promised GG that they would release a new EULA andy they haven't. It reflects badly on them. And puts Torque users who believed them in a bind on the "legality" of the interior objects they may have created using Worldcraft.
And thanks for reminding me that I forgot to pimp Quark ;)
And another plus now is that Blender3d raised the money and will be going opensource soon.

Next Thursday, we will be having a Blender chat with some surprising guests, but I don't want to steal Jay's thunder.

If things work out, we are pretty sure that Blender will become the official GG answer for modeling. It is open source and cross platform. Sounds good to me.Next Thursday, we will be having a Blender chat with some surprising guests, but I don't want to steal Jay's thunder.

Come on Harold. Don't give the the come on GG stuff. The EULA promise came from Valve not GG.
