The newbs unite?

Hey all.

I'm trying to learn, hobby-like, all the great vastness of the Torque Engine and script, not to mention modeling and otherwise important functions. Unfortunately, I don't have the time I use to that I might just sit down and spend weeks on end working solely on game creation. I want to learn, though, and I'd like to make a game (casually), but I fear it might be far too difficult to do on my own.

What I'm hoping to find here, is another newbie or two who might want to join forces, work on a project together, and help one another learn. We could merge ideas and come up with a core game concept we are all comfortable with and then work together to tackle the numerous obstacles we will no doubt encounter. If we don't all put in the same amount of time on the project, then no worries, just as long as we are all willing to work together when we can and however we are able.

If anyone is interested, please post and we'll figure out how to proceed from there.

Thanks!

- Jeremy

I'm interested though can't guarantee time or duration. My biggest problem currently is nailing down one piece to start on for my own project, having a group might help.

@Andrew:

Personally, I don't see any issues with people coming and going as the project proceeds, aside from the whole management chaos that could potentially ensue. I intend to treat whatever comes from this strictly as a learning experience.

I'm going to hold off to see if we can gather up at least a few more people before putting too much thought into what the next step should be from here. However, if you have any thoughts, please feel free.

I bought Torque a while back and haven't used it much, but now am thinking about starting up again. PM me with more info if you could.

Thanks,
Nathan

In my absence on this forum I forgot there's no Private Messaging feature :-)

So just e-mail me J Wright and Andrew.
