I just got Torque (demo) and i'm So confused. i'm an Extreme 8 year old gamer who plays thousands of Games all day and has Good Excperiance with .mis files. can someone Teach me or something how i can get a Good Jumpstart on my game
My Game Plans:
I'm planning a game Demo Called Marbexk where you roll a marble Through a Ladnscape of Platforms And Avoid Robots and Attemp Collecting Music tones. Wheerof the Robots attempt to grab you.
Robots- 3x3 or so size of the marble. maybe 2x2.
Tutorial Plans:
Tutorial One: includes 1 Music tone. the FInish (a Giant tone with a Door that opens in the Circle-part: Bout 7x7 the Size of the marble and 5-6x5-6 The Size of Robots. and 1 Wide Spaced Platform
No otehr Tutorials Planned yet.
Anyway. can someone help me on getting a Jump start and any further on my game Marbexk?

I don't know hwo to make a gui in the Trial. my Family has like 50-35 Bucks to spend (wowaaa i got 50$ in my chors wallet :D) all the gui Tutorials i look at only work if you Have Bought TGB i think. Please someone help me in the Gui tutorials. i'm planning to First Make the Menu. This is mainly gonna be a marble Blast Gold Mod. but. with a few Completely Difrent Things. i've already Completed what Instructions will say in a .rtf (Rich Text Document) file. foirst thing. can someone reccemend me to a good Picture Maker? you know. Like for making the main Menu Looks and stuff. once thats finished. i am going to creat what it will say when you first open the game. i don't wanna host piracy. thast why i am NOT amking a full version that i will sell for say.... $10 (my family would love me if i could... but Alex Swanson i don't think would notice if i emailed asking about sellling marbexk for say $5. after this i'll creat a Loading Status bar. then. the Instrctions and Exit Buttons. then for the Play Button. heading for Levels. then the Level selector. and qualifycation guis. Lastly. i will go for the level editor. then finish with Hotseat and Multiplayer. then Create some badges. and there bonuses. and the final for finishing award. then the game will be done. then i'll need someone to make me my installer...
Please help.

I'm not sure how much the demo allows you to do, but the Indie License is only $100 without source code for the engine and I beleive you can upgrade for that. I know some people just don't have that kind of money to spend. As young as you are, if this is something that really interests you, then a little determination in saving the money should require nothing but patience and motivation. It sounds like you already have the motivation.

I use Gimp. It's a bit complicated, especially for someone like me who is a complete newb to graphics editing, etc... But it is free.I'm not sure how much the demo allows you to do, but the Indie License is only $100 without source code for the engine and I beleive you can upgrade for that. I know some people just don't have that kind of money to spend. As young as you are, if this is something that really interests you, then a little determination in saving the money should require nothing but patience and motivation. It sounds like you already have the motivation.

the demo gives me the gui builder. but i'm confused on how to make controls.
Gimp Will be useful even if i have to wait to make marbexk.

EDit: when i said i was 8 i was 9 and all the TGB versions are $100 considering how high taxes are here.

Oh Great. Buy TGB... after my dad already said no.the demo gives me the gui builder. but i'm confused on how to make controls.

Randy, click on my name to get to my profile. Go through the resources I posted and look for New Torque Documentation. There are currently only 3 parts, but one of them goes into detail of how to use the GUI editor.That should help out.

The first thing you need to do is follow the tutorials, they will help you understand how to use the engine. It won't answer all of your questions, but it will help you to know what questions to ask.
"Help me make a game" will not get you many responses, even if you describe your game idea. Just don't get impatient, or you won't accomplish much with your demo.
