Torque 2 Tranparent Development

by Marcus Daw · in General Discussion · 02/11/2008 (10:18 am) · 64 replies

Whatever happened to Torque 2's transparent development? Or has it just not happened yet?

Really excited to see what is done with it.

Any news on this? I can't find anything on Torque 2 at all. The end of the year is coming pretty quickly.

Keep in mind that PAX and Austin GDC are within the next two weeks. ;)

Wink wink... Nudge nudge...

I think that is a hint that they are going to show something BIG on this...

Ok guys... you're reading too much into my post.

I'm just pointing out to Marcus that there are two events really soon that GG will be and that they have announced stuff there in the past.

But by all means speculate away. :)

Disqualify him! Red card him! Do something! Speculative advantages are cheating! =P

Ahahaha!!!

Well... that tells us a bit too much...

I would suggest getting an admin to delete the past few posts so no one else knows...

I just hope that all the game engines now and in the future will run on OpenGL with Torque 2 coming.

Sorry to be negative, but that is not very "transparent".

But I am be happy if things are going on.

@Mike - I'm sure there will be some press releases and news articles about whatever happens. I'll even try to post some video from AGDC if the GG crew doesn't beat me to it.

I am just wondering if they are doing OpenGL support more... Otherwise I'm gonna need to find a different game engine to suit my needs...

I'm actually not going to be at PAX or Austin GDC, haven't figured out how to get this chain attached to a ball off of my leg yet. I just felt like speculating along with everyone else :)

Actually Mathew, Im surprised about some employees allowed to go to the outside world. Last time, Im pretty sure GG unleashed a man hunt on China to get Brett back...

If the evil corp behind GG make the same mistake and allow some of you out, aim for the crowd and try to run, run, run!!!

Dont think about Latin America though, I agree with the grey men about you guys working 24hs until the last noob pet feature be coded and tested...

Ok, Im going to sleep now.

We're hard at work getting TGEA 1.8 out right now. Make sure to check the blog I linked. It's some pretty cool stuff!

So is Torque 2 just going to continue to be TGEA? I haven't seen any kind of update to transparent development.
