Can you make an MMO?
If you're a beginnner programmer (the engine is in C++, not C# by the way, so you'll have to adjust to that, from what your profile says), then you'll want to learn a lot about programming before you dip into this. MMO's touch on Database programming, networking, physics, game logic, and graphics code. It's a pretty spread out list of skills, and if you want to throw design into the mix, then I suggest you make a go at studying what it takes to make an MMO. There's a book or twenty out there on the subject, and they are usually pretty good at outlining the real hard parts (which ironically enough is not the network code, but what happens after launch). If you get through all that and you're undeterred, then I say go for it- but don't do it if all you have is a clone. Bring something unique (and fun!) to the table...

Cohen, you get the source code to the engine, and it's not geared towards MMO's, but MMO's have indeed been made with this engine. The real question is:Can you make an MMO?

The kit is Open Source and there is a fair amount of documentation, an IDE, a demo game, etc.
You can also check out "Minions of Mirth" the indie MMO that could... from which the kit spawned:
