TGB 1.7.1 Config Datablocks

Hey! I followed the Featured Tutorial in TGB 1.7.1 on Config DataBlocks and it does not work..... I am going to have to paste everything into the object.

Config datablocks do work in 1.7.1. What exactly aren't they doing for you?
