Question: Torque X support for all versions of Visual Studio?

by Silverbeard · in General Discussion · 01/29/2008 (11:56 pm) · 2 replies

I've given myself the standard 15 minutes to research this, but nothing is coming up. I know that Torque X for GSE 2.0 is still in beta, available to Creator's Club members, and that it is only compatible with the express version of VS (i know this for a fact because the install kicked me out saying i have a copy of VS Pro). Is there a plan brewing within the bowels of the garage that would include all versions of VS, or am i sucking from the dream pipe again? If yay, then, should i wait for this auspicious day to descend upon me like gold flaked confetti or just break down like my 11 month old daughter at bedtime and [uninstall-install && pro-express]?

TorqueX is not GSE 2.0 compliant yet (even in the beta). Once it is 2.0 compliant, you should be able to use Pro as the problem was that GSE 1.0/Refresh would not work with Pro out of the box. But I don't know a timeline on the compatibility for 2.0.

This also means that the current version of TX does not support XNA 2.0 either. Patience young padawan.
