Im graduating gr.12 this year but not sure if i will make it in university or take a year off. In the event that i decide to take a year off, i want to occupy my time doing some independent learning. Someone in another thread introduced me to http://www.gameinstitute.com which i found quite interesting,.. I took a look at what they offer and for a beginner like im i find myself interested but i want to hear your opinion. Would you recommend it?

Well I had purchased one class before, like Casey I had never finished it too. Materials and classes are very good, and videos are very clear, but in my case was a little hard sat down in front the pc just watching classes, I don't know exactly why, but I prefer books. I think is a matter of taste.

The course and GI are more challenging than the other C++ class I took at another on-line school.
I had tried learning from books and the web, I even got a C++ book that gave you exercises after each section, and you could download the incomplete anwser key from the publishers web-site. Also, there was really no place to get help going that route.
I perfer GI because it gives you a place to discuss your code and any other issue's you are have learning it, So getting feedback from an experinced coder makes the difference in really understanding it in my opinion.

I'm currently taking Mod1 and Mod2 for C++ programming, the course is challenging. IMOThe course and GI are more challenging than the other C++ class I took at another on-line school.
