A game that you will remember.

The kind of game i have envisioned in my head, is a cross between ICO and MGS. You are a soldier of some sort, and you come across a girl while you are on your "mission". So during the whole entire game you are trying to keep her safe and make it possible for her to keep up with you. You will have the same kind of enemies as in MGS and the same kind of gadgets, but when it comes to saving the girl you have to solve puzzles that are similar to ICO's. You will have to scout for the enemy AI and clear the path for her and at the same time find ways for her to follow you, after all she isn't as acrobatic or strong as you. You are doing all this while trying to be stealthy as possible, because it is hard to keep yourself alive and her alive in a fire fight.
Now the main thing i would want to be done to this game is to have the plot be written by a qualified script writer. And then have a somewhat experienced movie director help out on things, like the cutscenes, to the in-game camera angles. Of course I would like good voice actors also. [I HATE it when a game has bad voice acting, and the thing is almost every game does, why cant people just do what Rockstar did with GTA3? get people who know there stuff!]
I would really like this game to be well done. I really think that there hasnt really been a game yet that truly had powerful emotion to it and can be taken seriously.[well maybe with the exception of ICO] I think Kojima really tried on achieving this with MGS2 but failed. I mean come on there was so many scenes that were just plain pathetic, and the story itself went into too many directions.
Oh one more thing about the game. I would like it to be set mainly outside like in the mountains, maybe because i like the sound of wind and birds, or maybe its just because the mountains are pretty. I dont know i have always loved the mountains.

Actually, there's a PS2 game called Ico, which is what he's probably referring to.

ICO is a great game, very innovative and it won alot of praise. It shows how much of an impact such games make though, when communities such as this aren't even really aware of its existence :(.....

Ever since I played the ICO style mission on MGS2 I've wanted to make this kind of game too! To be honest though, I'm not sure how well it would play on a PC without a control pad.

Now ICO [or Ico, whatever] is one of the best games ever made. It is made by Sony for the Playstaion2 now if you do not have this game I truly recommend you to buy it. This game is the only game i like to call art, if you have a mind for good works, you will also call this game art. Not many people know about Ico though which is unfortunate, because it really is a masterpiece. [But i have to warn you though that cover art for this game is so ugly that its scary.]

Ok my bad, yes MGS is short for Metal Gear Solid. Directed by Kojima and published by Konamai for the Playstation; pretty good game. Metal Gear Solid 2 [for the Playstation2] was ok but not great, but if you don't have it you should buy it just to see how well done the graphics and effects are done. Its good to say the name of the games you are comparing to at least once, so people that have never played or heard of them know what you're talking about :)
