Movable cross hair

Hello everyone!

its been a long time since i last made a post but i have been working on school and this idea

but this idea mostly depends on a character bieng in 3rd person with a movable cross hair

idk, if anyone ever played mech warrior 3, but that crosshair is basically what i am after, so u shoot not where ur looking, but rather at the place that is on the line of sight of ur mouse courser. i found a couple of resources but they are either dead links, or incompatible with tgea, or not what i am after.

so before i continue i was wondering if anyone has made something like that or point me in the right direction


i was an idea, where i get the 3d wolrd location from the 2d screen, then calculate the vector from the weapon nozzle tot hat point. but then i am worried, what about the skybox? like what if i am looking up?

ps. if i get this to work, ill release it as a resource since tge/tgea doesnt has a movable crosshair resource yet

Just a quick update

could someone tell me the code for:
* unlocking the mouse cursor during a game
* changing the mouse cursor image
* getting the world coordinates from the screen position

i once new them but its been almost a year since i last used these particular codes:s
