Too Many Subtrees

Hey All,
I have read every post on the subject and I have confirmed my hierarchy with 2 different tutorials
and I keep getting a "too many subtree error"
Problem is: this file exported on Friday night but since Sat morning I have nothing but errors and voodoo.
Any body willing to let me email them the file to check out whats wrong?

it seems that if I have a .cfg file in the file that this .max file is in - I get this error message
if I have no .cfg in the folder it will export properly
Is this normal? Will this bite me down the road?
