Cross-Platform and Shaders

Does the cross-platform version of the engine support custom shaders? If no, will the version that supports custom shader become cross-platform supported at some point?

Basically I'm, interested in the cross-platform ability, but I do not want to lose the custom shader support.

TGEA is currently using DirectX as its render pipe, so it is not cross-platform. TGE does not support shaders, though the modernization kit has added some shader support.
