All I can import are blank, white GFX.

Hi all.

New to this and fooling around with TGB and I already have a problem... whenever I import a graphic no matter what format all I get is a blank, completely white graphic with the dimensions of the original. What's up?

I usually search forums to see if my problem has been solved previously... but I don't see a way to search posts here? Correct me if I'm wrong there too please.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I obviously can't get far without some solution!

Thanks again. :)

That's very strange. How are you adding it? It should work well with JPG and PNG images. Are you using drag and drop?

Oh, and you can search in the box at the top right of the menu. But I do not think the TGB forums are included in the search right now. GG is looking into a new forum upgrade and reindex of the search database to include the forums that are not currently in the mix.

Firstly thanks much for the search info. Don't know how I missed that. Very helpful.

Moving along I've tried importing various formats in every way possible I think; drag and drop included. The only thing that even remotely works is importing from the prefeb resource directories. FishArt, for example. I tried making my own resource folder too, but that didn't work-- perhaps I didn't do it right?

Well, I've narrowed it down to only PNGs working for me. Which is fine. I guess I'll just go with that. :)

Joshua i have got the same problem.

i downloaded TGB demo and started following the mini platform tutorial (the ninja one) i can load the player image just fine but with the "MiniTileMap" i get a blank white graphic. both files are PNG and i can see them fine in windows image viewer. I re-download the file but got the same thing. so then i downloaded the "miniplatformer" demo but when i load it i get a white background. So I'm at a loss here i was thinking it was the "MiniTileMap" file but i don't know now.

anyone have any ideal?

p.s the fish art works just fine for me as well

Try running them through OptiPNG to see if the headers got munged or something.

OptiPNG rocks my socks off.
