Pathed interiors

This is a popular topic, i have browsed at least 5 different resources, all of them out of time(city on the verge of forever), and have alas come to this point where i must make a new thread. What triggered this is watching the showoff area, and realising that some bastard managed to path a monorail cab exactly the way i wanted(on a side note, pretty nice cab, although not my kind of sci-fi/semi futuristic style(i want them rusty!)), and neither mentioned it or was commented about it, which makes me believe it is either simpler than i think it is, or that im retarded(lets hope not, it would be quite an surprise after 19 years of being piss arogant and correcting everyone when they say something wrong =) ).

What i want is some way to path a dif so that i moves along a path of points(quite obviously), that somehow transfers its speed to any playerobjects onboard(meaning they dont fall off). Any ideas where to go with this? I have looked at most resources, and im not afraid of modding the engine, though i have no experience at all with c++ except from moding torque, so that would be through a guide in that case. Thanks for your time

Edit: sorry, i read wrong =) You can free-cam while inside the cab, you can NOT walk around in the cab(it leans to the retarded angle at the moment). But its still impressive funtionality that i would like to learn about.

Also check out dynamic mounting. It allows you to jump onto an object and it will mount you relative to that object, but you can still move around. Perhaps pathed interiors uses that.
