Torque X Pro

by Lee · in Torque X 2D · 12/23/2007 (11:48 am) · 3 replies

Hello,

I purchased Torque X Pro - Indie on December 6, 2007. Order#75245. In my order page it says - Ignition Key - No Key Required. When I use Torque it says "Trial Version, expiring in 5 days asking for my Registration Key. I never received a Registration Key. I dont even know what it is. I have contacted the GarageGames forum with no luck.

Where, how and what is a Registration key. How do I get one. What are my Registration and Ignition Keys for my software before it expires and I have to buy it again?

Thanking you in advance for all your help.

I guess everyone might be out for the holidays, so maybe I can help out. First off, this can probably be confusing for newcomers. But...

There are two different 'products' when it comes to the Torque X family. There's the Torque X Framework, which is the core library. The free version only provides a .DLL file (a .NET assembly), some sample code and help files. The PRO version (which you have) includes the full awesome source code to the engine.

A different product, within the Torque X family, is called Torque X Builder. It is a 2D design tool that helps you to build 2D levels for Torque X. You buy this tool separately, although a free 30-day trial comes with Torque X Pro. Yes, I know... Torque X Pro really ought to include Torque X Builder... but it doesn't. Once you purchase Torque X Builder (aka TXB) you will find an ignition key in your order page.

Anyway, it's probably not the answer you want, but hopefully it helps.

It seems that it did help since he now has both products. Thanks, John, for hitting the questions while I was away wassailing!
