Request to change forum permissions... (MODERATORS)

I know this is likely the wrong place to be posting this, but after carefully checking each forum, I can't really come up with a suitable place for this. Perhaps a Forum Support or Site Support forum would be helpful (particularly to customers whom have non-technical problems with your products IE: lost account)

I would like to suggest the following forum be moved to a location where TGE Licenses can access it:

Forum Thread : Opcode/Polysoup help :. GarageGames
Forum Posts... ... Author, Topic: Opcode/Polysoup help.

I would like to request this move due to the fact the PolySoup resource is available to us as well, and I could really use it!

(unless of course you guys just want to get mine working for me =P )

Cheers,

As an sdk owner, that thread should be open to you. Are you saying you can't access it?

Correct, it is currently locked for TSE users only as the PolySoup resource was originally only available to them.

With the current forum setup, topics can not be moved around. I also believe that the granular level of access for a single topic is also not part of the setup.

I don't know if that topic would be that helpful to you since it was oriented towards TGEA 1.0.2.

Basically, adding:
#include "game/tsStatic.h" to the tsMesh.cpp's includes allowed it to compile after merging the opcode changes. That was the solution presented because he was getting undeclared identifiers. Which makes sense since the header wasn't being #included.

Ah, I don't believe that's the problem I am having with compiling it with TGE. Thanks for summarizing for me, but I'm starting to to think I'm not gonna get this compiled ever =P

Thanks again.

I have TGE, I cant read any of the Polysoup stuff, other then the original blog about it, and have wanted more depth info for a long time now! There is actually allot of good information my forum searching will turn up but i dont have permission to read. The way GarageGames locks good information away from GarageGames customers is the single most annoying thing i have to complain about GarageGames. And we are not talking about Game Engine Version proprietary information here; i can understand why that should be locked away for the license owners. (speaking of license owners i have found licensed accounts for sale for as low as $10 that would give me another forum account that DID have TGEA access, but i dont personally feel that would be the right solution....)

Wow, this got way off topic....

In any case, if there's anyone out there with some know-how and the patience to walk me through integrating PolySoup on TGE 1.5.2 (especially with Visual Studio 2005) I would GREATLY appreciate it. I can't for the life of me figure out what I am doing wrong. I simply need it to create a prototype to attract a programmer (which I know my artists work can do).

Just for the record, we can't control where people post things. If they post information in an area that is part of a licensed access area (such as, source code is available for TGE, so TGB owners don't have access), then there isn't anything we can do, and it's not us "locking away" data.

I understand that Stephen, and have grown to live with that very fact. Its just one of the annoying facts of life i love to gripe about....
