Hi,
I am doing my phd and I would like some help on creating a 3D naval game (not war game but with commercial ships) about navigation, chartering and ship management.
A simple description of the game that has to be implemented:
The player is the captain of the ship, he selects a chartering contract among other he receives by the gmdss device (fax), for transfering cargo from one port to another in specific date time period according to boat capabilities...
If he aggrees to the contract, he goes to the port where the cargo is loaded and ships away (navigation) for getting to destination port. The navigation is performing via way points.
Also he must take care for supplies like food, pertrol, oil ....
Ship needs repairs so he often goes to shipyards spending a lot of money.
If we succeds in getting the cargo to the port, he gets paid according to the chartering contruct.
He wins when he reaches a certain amount of money.
Other competitor captains do the same work and if someone else reaches the money target before player does, then game has ended.
I would like a good demo, may a pre production game because we will test it on maritime students. (Educational game)
If you are intrested in, please give me a cost and time estimation.
Thanks in advance
