Problems with eye and cam bones..

So im exporting a totally homemade armature .. and i added an unparented cam and eye node to the armature..
now the problem is that in fps mode weapons are only rendered when i look down.. the cam stuff is a bit whacky but the biggest problem is the fps mode where the weapons arent really being rendered when they should be..
so my question is are there any rules when placing the cam and eye bones?

As a test i overdid the bounds by a good margin .. i still get the same exact error?

Also of note.. if i delete the eye node the weapon renders.. it just renders at the bottom of the player bounds

That would be a sign that you do not have a proper mount point on your mesh. If a node on the dts shape is missing the engine defaults to the pivot point location of the bounds to place the item.

the last post i made was just to say that when i delete the eye bone .. it renders the weapon correctly.. this was just a test i did to make sure the weapon would render correctly at all. it wasnt meant as a question as to why it happend merely saying that the weapon *should* render fine ..
to reiterate , i am using eye bone and cam bones .. they both work fine in the sense that they place the camera properly.. however in first person view mode the weapons are not rendered until i look down ?
