Digital painter looking for a project

I am looking for a project to add to my resume as professional experience. As such I am willing to take on projects for little or no pay pending a few conditions. I'm looking for a developer / team with experience and should have worked on completed projects in the past. Also I need any project I work on to actually reach a published stage. In the past I have had a lot of my time and effort lost due to projects simply falling apart. Freeware or even shareware are all fine, honestly the biggest point is having my work be part of something a future employer can look up.

I am 24 and a part time college student, so i can dedicate much of my time to a project if you would like me to come on. I specialize in digital painting, concept art and design. A few examples of my work can be found on deviant art, most noted:

I can do concept design, UI design, character spreads and so on. Basically anything 2D. It has been a long time since i've touched 3D art so I wouldn't feel comfortable working as a modeler (if you notice the single 3D piece in my gallery). I'm interested in any kind of project really, from kid games to adult games. Futuristic, medieval, or even puzzle games.
