Chapter 7 - AI guard looses player

Hey I have a problem with the AIGuard, he starts out fine and shoots at me but then when I go out of his range and then return within range he doesn't shoot at me anymore. Suggestions? Thanks in advance

Also in addition to him often losing the player, currently he can see through walls and you hear his alert sound even if you are on a floor above or below him or if he is off in another room, I would love to make it so he isn't "alerted" until you enter his room, and then he chases you around after that
