Thankyou

Just wanted to say thankyou to the author.

I've plowed through the book and am now into Ch14 making the maze runner.

I wouldn't recommend this book/path to get into Torque for a complete beginner (TGB is a better entry point), but working as a scenario designer/maker for Firaxis on Civ4 allowed me to fit right into Torque's ways (objects, scripts, 3D environment). It's very similar.

Anyways, any recommendations for the next step? Do I just try to put one of my ideas into TGE or should I read more advanced tutorials/books now?

Thanks
Dale

I'd suggest thinking of something you want to do and try to implement it by yourself as much as possible. It could be anything you want. Maybe something you've seen in another game, or something you want to put in your own game.

If you get stuck first search the forums and the docs and if you are still stuck then ask for help. There's a lot of people here that will help you but nothing is more satisfying than getting something working on your own. :)
