For A.I. Enthusiasts

talk of a round table has been discussed here and here is what i propose. We start multiple threads on different a.i. aspects for discussion. for example "Pathfinding" or "Neural Nets" this way it will be easy for people to find/post topics they are interested in. What say you?

If you're meaning threads, then surely someone who wants to know about pathfinding will just make a thread asking about pathfinding. If someone else is interested, then they will be able to look at that thread for reference. Why bother making threads just in case? If you're talking about just adding information about, say pathfinding, then you could always just add articles in the resource section.
Anyhow, I'm probably getting it totally wrong so I'll shut up soon :) If you're just wanting to see if anyone wants to start a discussion about said subjects, then I'm all for it.
But like I said, I may have missed the point by a few kilometers, so please show me at least some mercy in your reply :)

I would prefer to see someone come up with a list of possible topics, then see who's interested in what, and start discussions (one at a time, preferably) on the most popular topics. Hopefully we could gather some interest, even get some code going back-and-forth (I still like my "AI Challenge of the Month" idea), and eventually end up with a library of (useful) articles.
That said...who wants the unenviable job of being the host for the first round of discussion?? :)

I'm with William here. The point of a round-table discussion would be to have one active discussion at a time, hopefully keeping it focused on a particular topic. Then after all the arguments and options are out, we can create a summary which could be posted as a resource.I would prefer to see someone come up with a list of possible topics, then see who's interested in what, and start discussions (one at a time, preferably) on the most popular topics. Or better yet...we could take advantage (over?) of the GG IRC channel and have -live- discussions. That would, of course, require getting ppl together at one time. Just thought I'd throw that one out.
