I will try my best to slap some more concept art in the

so that you modeler people have summit to play with..
(Also note - if your having a bad time with texturing )
(i am willing to lend a hand...but jst dont flood me )
(with stuff :p - aslo i dont have Max4 so dont send V4)

Just the sword looks a bit too plump for elven elegance. The shield has holes in it that would prove to be not so handy when shielding arrows or bolts. You might want to turn the holes into applications of the same shape instead.

But the sword can easily be elongated + weapons
& armour always have there own faults..perhaps when
more designs have been implemented the benefits &
disadvantages of weapons/armour can be established...
Thanks for the crit though ;)

Your probably right about both these issues...But the sword can easily be elongated + weapons
& armour always have there own faults..perhaps when

disadvantages of weapons/armour can be established...

its 312 polys. if you like it, I'll go ahead and skinmap it for you.

its probably going to need some more optimization, since its 402 polys, which seems a little high to me.
edit: I got it down to 354 polys

But anyway, elves are going to be creatures that live in relative harmony with nature, or at least use it to the fullest extent. Taking that into account, the textures of these weapons should reflect more of a natural feel. (More green and yellow, designs on the shapes that resemble plant life, etc.)

The texture needs to give more of an impression of nature's beauty. Hopefully, we'll have background information up for everyone pretty soon about the races and their cultures, to give everyone a better idea of how modelling and scripting needs to be done. But anyway, elves are going to be creatures that live in relative harmony with nature, or at least use it to the fullest extent. the textures I used are just some basic procedurals...I'm not a very good skinner, so I'll leave that to the others ;)

You'll notice on the original drawing that there are several lines that are missing on the current texture. Those could help a lot in future skinning.
