Skin Edits!

Im concerned about the lack similarity in texture style..with respect to scenery - perhaps it would be a good idea to vote a final skinner in for skin overhauls...someone that will edit all scenery model skins/textures so that they all seem to fit a single style...
Im not proposing that noone else but this person skins..all the models..jst that they will edit the selected ones so that they fit a ceratin style + quality level....
perhaps this is stupid idea..i dont know..anyway tell me what you think...
time for little self advertising hehe..

If everyone respect the RW style I think it's good...
I personally prefer make my own skin. ;-)
It has been defined by Joe Maruscak with the orc and the elf sorceress.

Yeah, and when you make a model, generally you've got in mind the skin that will fit well to your model. If everyone respect the RW style I think it's good...

I guess thats how its gonna be.
We will jst have to see if this works - i have noticed
the style issue in the demo itself & in some screenshots
that have been submitted. Its still early days so perhaps
the style issue will level out after a while...
If it doesnt though - something like this may have to
be implemented...
(jst doing my best to annoy as usual! :p )

Not gone yet but very bussy packing... You have some valid points there Matt. One of my main concerns was how to keep consistancy. It's not like you could just throw work of a few good artists together and think it will stand. Consistancy will ask a lot of work and will ask a lot of efford from all contribiting. Sometimes an overhaul could do the trick but i don't think it is the way to go... Reworking all the textures would take to much time.. I'm rather thinking of good guidelines and instructions during the making of the model/skins. It will ask efford in the beginning but you should be able to get people on the right track.. If for some reason with some people that doesn't work we could alwasy assign some one to do some modifications.
As it is i don't think we sould automaticly leave from the point that some one will have to rework all the textures, it would just take to much time. Consistancy is very important though....
Sorry have to get back to packing again maybe i'll drop by again later, for just a little while..... Still have a lot to do...
Btw i saw some great concepts, if you all keep this up i will have a lot of nice work to see once i return =O)

Hopefully people will keep this in mind when they create the task that they signup for, I would hate to see good work get sent back for changes all because it doesn't fit with the RW style :(
