3d Studio Max to .DTS

I can get my models to export but when i try to view them with the -show switch and load them they dont appear, please help.

Check your dump file and make sure that your object exported correctly.

Its tough to say what you need to fix because it could be anything. I would probably guess though that you forgot to add your details information to your shape or you did not setup your scene hierarchy correctly.

I figured out what was wrong, but my weapon model is HUGE like a skyscraper, how can i make it so its the size you can hold in your hand?

One max unit is equal to 1 meter in game.

i figured out a way to by pass it, but now my hammer is mounted in my forehead lol if anyone can tell me the steps to fix it plz do

mostlikely the bounds' pivot point is located at the player head , you need to make sure that the pivot point is at the players feet. For mounted weapons make sure you have a dummy object called mount0 and that is't pivot point is pointing the same direction as the bounds' pivot point. The location of the mountpoint objeect will determine where you weapon will mount

As far as rotating the pivot point, which is what you are refering to. Do this
Select the object choose the Hierarchy panel, select "affect pivot only" an icon of 3 arrows appear, make sure that the red arrow point to the right side of the object, green= front and blue = up ( think that is right).

and is there anyway to rotate a weapon because the hammer i made is pointing left to right and i need it pointing up and down

simply rotate it within max and and re export the model.
