I know that it is a necessarily broad answer, but it is the closest one that I can accurately give--and that accuracy is sketchy at best.
You can create FPS games, racing games, RPG's, MMO's.......just as long as you have the know-how to do it.
For example, to provide accurate racing physics, you would have to overhaul the physics components in TGE with ODE or PhysX and hook the right parts of those SDK's into the engine. If you do not need that accuracy, you will have to do far less. If you want to create a MMO, you will need to work in a networking scheme that works for such a title (architecture is of extreme importance in this case). Using the MMOWorkshop kit will get you going, but you have a lot of huge decisions to make as a developer.
Making games is hard, and making your game your way is even harder, requiring a LOT from you.
But as to what kind of games can be made with TGE 1.5...I'd say just about anything your development prowess can develop.
