Why can't they just make a free 3d game engine with no license needed or a free license. I want a program where you don't have to know how to program but you can make a game you want. Why have they not made something like this? (If they have tell me what it is)

Euh.. there are free and less difficult to learn engines out there. You can't expect to have everything tough. What you ask is for someone to do all the hard work for you so you can make a drag and drop game... and not getting paid for it. Doesn't seem like a very realistic wish to me.

Sounds like you are just the man for that project! :-)

3d Games are difficult to write. The nearest thing you're looking for is probably 3dRad, or Dark Basic, or Blitz Basic, or the Conitec Engine. But they all require development work of some kind.

Bill.... that was very possibly the dumbest, most irritating, pointless, newbie, selfish and rediculus thing I have ever read... please dont have children :)

They do, it's called cardboard. All you need is a few crayons, scissors, glue, and a new game idea and voila...game on!

Oh, and the cardboard solution even fits the 3D criteria.

WOW, I never knew carboard could be so useful, Thanks I'm going to get started right now.

Ok I got the first part of my game done! Ok first you pick up the cardboard guy with the number 1 on it (In full 3d I might add)and try to miss the hammer you swing at it. If you miss the hammer after 12 swings you win.

Thanks Madcrap Max without you I would never have this great 3d game. I think I will name it after you and call it Madcrap Max.

Like the Nebula engine? If you've used that, why are you asking this question?

So for only 100$ I can get Torque game engine, does that include the license and any other fees they might have?

Bill, the answers should be in the FAQ's or do a forum search. Been answered many times.:-)

It costs $100 plus a percentage of the profits.

Good luck. :)

Torque is about as close to free as you are going to get. 100$....might as well be free. :) They don't ask you for money unless you make money on your project. If your game is free then you only have to pay the initial 100 bucks for the source and thats it.

Also try www.clickteam.com

Get started with The Game Factory, then Multimedia Fusion, then Jamagic.

Their tools are very good, especially for non-programming folks.
