Fixing resources section..my idea

I know this would be a monsterous job, but it would be really nice if someone rearanged the resources section by engine model.
It is extremely difficult to find resources that actually work with tge anymore. While browsing thru the resources section, it appears that most of the resources were written for tge 1.2 and older. My idea would be to put the resources into version areas, seperating them.
tge 0.1
Resources
tge 1.0
Resources
Etc...

Tags might be the possible here. Anybody could add tags to the resource, combined with a score. That way the most-used resources would be categorised for free (time-wise), and only resources with more than a certain number of tags and scores would be shown on the website (to make sure more than one vote has been cast, and keep the system more or less dependable).

I think there are people around that do integrations in the engine. I got a version one day with a number of resources merged, but I'll have to search in my mail at home. It's possible they would be willing to do it also on a more on-demand basis, but I doubt it would be 5 bucks you'd pay. Remember, it would be tailor-made.Tags might be the possible here. I mean 5 bucks for a code piece, so 5 bucks for say nightvision code thats 1.5 compatible. I realize this is a community, but most indies cant afford 50 bucks a hour that programmers are asking. its outragous really. i mean alot of the useful resources are unsupported and out of date so bad that anew indie will have issues with future upgrades to codes.

I had always thought that TDN was suppose to do just what you are asking for. Post a resource on TDN, then the community can fix bugs or help port the resource to different a different codebase if needed.

Currently, the GG resources area is an all in one solution. Everything is mixed. What I'm suggesting is that it get's split up by engine version.
An example would be:
currently
X -->built for version 1.0
Y -->built for version 3.0
Z -->built for version 4.0
New way:
Game engine resources for version
0.0 to 2.0
resource X
2.1 to 3.0
Resource Y
etc..... Resources seperated by engine version instead of all mixed.

Ok, let me clearify.. Why dont we release 1 resource for each items, with the codes for 1.2, 1.3, and, 1.4 and 1.5 as 1 bundle, rather then having to search between the versions.

Anyway. They need to gather a similar list of the resources, and have a cleaned and updated 1.5 list of resources. That will clear up 90% of folks issues with the resources. I cant believe some folks havent made code packs on some of these place. Id pay 5-10 bucks for a working set of code for certain items (which adds up when you need 30-40 sets of codes for things).
