Marble Blast Platinum Demo

Play the next generation Marble Blast modification with 17 all new levels, Easter Eggs, Nukes, new music, sounds and lots more! This long awaited modification gives you a small hint of what to expect to by giving you a collection of some of the levels in MBP. Race against time, roll around loops and explore great levels as you'll be astounded by the new textures and scenery put into the levels.

We've added a Demo Version leaderboards (in Records board) for your own fun use!

To the demo we added in two new challenges: Easter Eggs and Ultimate Times. Everything's possible, just gotta practice. Regarding copying our stuff, we added a 'Terms and Conditions' page for the Help/About section, so read it first.

Now, I won't say much more about anything, so here's THE page to get MBP from:

Happy Marble Blasting
- Matan and the rest of the MBP Team

Big note - We know about the bug and it'll be fixed for final version. Worry not about it.

FIRST REVIEW!!!

I installed it, and everything's amazing! I guess you're aware of the missing beginner level, but otherwise it's awesome! The graphics, the sound effects, the voices, it's all amazing! Lesse, advice...

1. Time travel is still captioned as "travel", even though you say "modifier". I think, unless I misheard.
2. Gems need a sound effect!
3. I'm still playing but it looks good so far!

Forget what I said about the missing beginner level.

Let that be a lesson to everyone: Move your custom levels out of your library!

Still stuck on Strategy Climb.

Problem found

I accidentally had an ignitionstatusgui.gui.dso within the UI folder.

Re-do the steps above, but this time take out the ignitionstatusgui.gui.dso onto your desktop, replace the folders and that take DSO file back to the UI folder and replace it.

I'll reupload the ZIP files and get Phil/Ben to replace them.

The new instructions

Marble Blast Platinum comes with its own scripts, interiors, textures etc while it has some different files. For the sake of successful installation without destroying Marble Blast Gold, please follow the instructions carefully.

The game comes without the activation files of Marble Blast Gold, namely the exe, dlls and everything in the root folder (/Marble Blast Gold). Do not think that if you download the demo for Marble Blast Gold you could get away with it. We tried to base the demo on it, but it would simply crash and become disfunctional. As such, your best bet is to have a full version of Marble Blast Gold.

The first step is to go to where you installed Marble Blast Gold, where the default is HardDrive:/Program Files/Marble Blast Gold . Simply copy that Marble Blast Gold folder and paste it somewhere else, for example, your desktop.

2) Delete the common and editor folders found in the root folder. If you do not have the editor folder, that's because you never added anything in the level editor.

3) Enter the marble folder and delete the main.cs and main.cs.dso files as well as the data and server folders.

4) Enter the client folder and delete everything except the UI folder.

5) Enter the UI folder and delete everything except for ignitionGui.gui.dso and ignitionstatusgui.gui.dso . If you do not have the ignitionGui.gui.dso ,don't worry.

6) Copy the marble, editor and common folders from the WinZip file into the root folder (Marble Blast Gold). If it asks to overwrite, simply say 'yes' for everything.

7) Enter the UI folder again and check the two files that you didn't delete are still there. (Unless you had only one to start out with).

8) Go back to the root folder and play the game.

That should fix any problems you might have.

Henry - thanks man! Actually we changed the name of stuff, such as time travel now being time modifier, super jump as jump boost etc.

This doesn't make any sense and I'm not the MAC expert.

Some people on both MAC and PC get this game to work and some don't. What the...

We'll have to do something about it :/ where's PF when you need him...

I meant the captions that appear when you collect them. They still have the old names.
"You picked up a 1 second Time Travel bonus!" or something like that.
Good job with the instruction-rewriting, though.

Yay, I won every level, with 6 platinums and 1 ultimate!

Congrats Henry! What was your favorite level? :)

Oh, so hard to decide...

Strategy Climb was really fun. I liked King of The Marble because it was strange and fun, and it took advantage of the physics. Sprint was fun. Double Loop Loop had a nicely planned-out path. All the advanced levels were great, but Ice Cold Pass stood out for me, I think because it was so unique. Perilous road was cool, and took me a while. Crash Course was constructed well. Everything's great. The expert levels were indeed expert; I was surprised that I was able to win both available ones in a single day.

Two more questions...

1. How many levels will be in the full version?
2. Will there be an editor?

1) over 110
2) Yes

*faints with joy*

And gem sound effects, right?

It's already there, unless PF messed up the mac version.

Actually Henry, I think the editor is already there, you just need to modify some coding. (Not exactly sure how...)

(should say we are not responsible for any levels lost in the installation)

XD Yeah, that might be useful, before someone gets angry.

Questions about MBP

Can I get to MBP team for a little late? (I didn't have Torque but im maybe going to buy it.)

If answer is yes, send me istructions how to work.

If ansswer is no, please answer to the following questions.

1. When MBP will be released?
2. What image editing program was used in MBP?
3. Can I release custom levels to MBP yet? (If yes, I'm going to use MBGs level editor.)

In order:

No one is going to be added to MBP staff (why would you want to? It's going to be released very soon and we're done with most everything that needs to be worked on)

MBP will be released at the end of December/Beginning of January.

Photoshop most likely, I don't know what Jase uses but Photoshop is what Phil uses and Fireworks is what I used, but I only made the blinking sides to the start/finish pads so my texture work isn't very noticeable.

I don't think so.
