Blender Door

by Ben Immel · in Game Design and Creative Issues · 08/26/2007 (12:14 am) · 4 replies

Ok, so i spent a little bit working with blender, getting used to extruding, starting things from just a single plane, and using the mirror modifier. What I came up with is a simple door, but I think its pretty good, first try with Blender really. Only one problem, i cant figure out how to take a screenshot of it so i can show it off, so, if anyone can tell me how Id be more than appreciative and I could show it off. Cheers!

There are two ways that I know of... first you could render the image, close it, then go to File --> Save Image and type in the name you want for the .jpg

The other option is to click on the last button (far right) on Button Window Header (I'm new to blender so I can't remember the name exactly). It takes a screenshot of your mesh as you see it in the workspace (handy for when making a step by step tutorial). After you click on that button you go to File --> Save Image and name the .jpg

Thanks Corbett, and the button is called Render This Window (in case you need to know that.)
Anyway, here's the screenshots of my door. Like I said, its very simple, but I like it and I think with the right texture, it'd be really good. Cheers.

Clickable... well according to the link below the Post a Reply, you surround the URL with and with no spaces. If you wanted to display the image on the site (which is what I first did to your picture) then you do the same thing but it's [image] url [/image]
