Looking for a mentor

by Phil Herrin · in Torque Game Engine · 08/21/2007 (3:57 pm) · 2 replies

I am just starting to dig through Mike Perry's wonderful tutorials but was wondering if there was a person or group of individuals who would be willing to take on an apprentice. I am willing to work on your project with you , all i am looking for is a mentor to ask questions and explain some of the inner workings of the engine etc. Getting some of the basics down but its nice to have a real person to bounce ideas and ask questions of.

You are probably better off with buying the torque books, absorb that info than after experimenting with scripting, etc posting specific questions in the forums.

I've been there phil & I bought "The Game Programmer's Guide to torque" its a great book & I already have a fine experience in programming, at first i feared that it wouldn't be enough, now after i finished it i think that its is far more than enough with some work of course like experimenting on ur own.

good luck with torque I'm sure u'll love it :)
