3DS Max plugins - Stitch vs. ClothReyes

Has anyone out there used both the ClothReyes and Stitch plugins for 3DS Max 3.1? I am curious how they stack up. Stitch is currently on sale for $375 for Max 3.x, 4.x, 5.x, while ClothReyes is free (for 3.1 only - not sure of its price for Max 4).
