Wheel Mounts Offset?

by Cory Anderson · in Artist Corner · 08/08/2007 (3:48 pm) · 7 replies

My vehicle is having problems. When I export the vehicle and open it in showtool, everything works fine and the wheels mount correctly. But when I start up my game, the wheels on the right side are offset quite a bit to the right, and all of the wheels steer.

When I reset the script to use buggy.dts, the problems dissapear. So I am left to believe it is my model, and not the scripts that are problematic. And since my model (at least to my knowledge) follows the guidelines, I am left to believe it is a problem with the exporter. Has anyone had this problem? How can it be fixed?

Try re-exporting, that helps me on most mount stuff.

Here. I zipped my files up. See if you guys can tell me if there is anything wrong with the set up.

Well let's see what I can find wrong...

EDIT: Your mounts are way off, go to the front view and you'll see it.

They look fine to me... What do I need to change?

Aha! I figured it out. Thanks Tyler!

I didn't realize that the object actually had to be centered around the center of the blender environment.

Yah, I'm just use to having all my objects in the center of the environment when I'm using them.
