Vanishing directories

Doh! Put this in the wrong forum originally....I have a habit of doing that....so I'll put it here, where it belongs, now.

Okay...maybe I'm an idiot...but this is really frustrating. I have bought and downloaded the engine, and it says that in order to build the source I need to "Please follow the installation instructions which are located in the torque/docs/install directory" my problem is that no such directory exists for me. Ironic since when I was downloading I could swear that the 'docs/install' as well as a 'docs/getting_started' directory both existed, but once the download was finished, they had vanished. Anyone have any ideas where they vanished to or why? I was dling the SDK development release 1.1.2.

I have exactly the same problem. When I do a CVS update, I can see that those directories exist on the CVS server, as it lists them out. But they do not exist for me locally at all.

The only files I can see under doc (not "docs", as it says in the instructions, not to be too nitpicky :) are:
header.gif
header.psd
doxygen/doc_style.css
doxygen/doxygen.common.cfg
doxygen/doxygen.gif
doxygen/doxygen.html.cfg
doxygen/doxygen.php.cfg
doxygen/footer.html
doxygen/footer.php
doxygen/header.html
doxygen/header.php

I did my checkout using the Release_1_1_2 tag.

I think you can find something similar to what doc/install might be at www.garagegames.com/docs/torque.sdk/gstarted/compiler.setup.html
