TorqueScript reference guide
by Jaroslav Kurcik · in Torque Game Engine · 08/03/2007 (7:31 am) · 15 replies
My reference guide contains list of all TorqueScript variables, functions, classes, datablocks and callbacks on more than 3000 pages. It's related only for scripters (no C++ info). I think, such a guide is a must for anyone who are interested in rapid development - all information in the same place (single compressed HTML Help file .chm) - that's why I decided to make this reference guide.
Not all items are fully documented, but each item has at least basic information about it. You are free to contribute and help me to make this guide even more useful.

To get help files working in vista there is an update to enable them from microsoft, i dont know whats its called, but if you search microsoft downloads website or something you should find it. when i first ran a .chm it asked me if i wanted to enable it, it then sent me around the houses at the microsoft website abit, but i got there in the end and it works fine.Neil

How's this for my contribution:
This reference guide covers all member items of the Torque Game Engine from the scripter's point of view. The information it contains was taken primarily from the TGE source code. There is also some information that was taken from the official and unofficial documentation available on the GarageGames website.

I get errors on every page as if the chm is hooked into information contained on webpages?

The help file doesn't reference any webpage. You need a compatible viewer (normally it's a part of Windows, specifically MS Outlook Express, I guess). If you have modified your operating system, you would accidentally broke something with viewer. I can't help you. You have to find yourself what's wrong.

Okay, just wanted to confirm that it wasn't trying to access some webpage that I might not have been able to reach from my work network.

I know this is an old resource, but is there an updated version that I could use as a reference?

Or if anyone by chance knows a way of getting them to work in Vista, please share, as I have several .chms I use to use all them time :)
