Missions directory

I don't know what I have done, but this is what's going on. I have started creating the terrain for my game and I have saved the work done to it. I then created some interiors in QuArk and placed them in my interiors directory. I proceeded to check my .dif's inside the terrain and now when I check my missions directory, there are a large group of files with the .ml extension. I do not wish to save anything while checking my .dif's, but I suppose that Torque saves each session. I have experienced this once before, and I deleted all the extra files. Of course, that totally destroyed the GameOne I had created. I wish
to get rid of the ones I don't need. Is it possible to delete these files without damaging the GameOne directory?

This is an addition to the previous problem. I also ran into a crazy thing while placing my .dif's. It seems that I overload Torque if I place more than 10 files in it. After I try about 9 objects, just to see how they will look together, upon opening the 10th one or so, I get kicked out of the game. My question is, must I save the activities after so many objects are added, or is it just some minor fluke? Any help is appreciated.

Hi William. The .ml files are the mission lighting files once your mission loads up. These can be deleted, but are re-created again. I would recommend saving your game every so often when placing several objects, as your pc may crash when using up available memory. I'd also recommend re-lighting your mission with ALT-F after placing your difs before saving your game as in the past (not so sure about the latest version of TGE) is that when you don't re-light your mission and you save it, it may not load up again. The reason why I'm not so sure if this still happends is that I have got used to the routine where i re-light the mission before saving. Also if the size of the difs are very large, placing them in your game may not be the limitations of the mission, but how much memory you have on your pc.

Thanks, Julian! I think I understand it now! I do not wish to save my game just yet. I want to make sure all the models, animations, and other functions are properly set before I save anything. I do have a question though! If I do save my mission, then add to the mission later and save that, does that create 2 files, or does it just overwrite the original? And, if it does create 2 files, can I delete the old file?
