Lightwave to Max question

Is it possible to take a textured model from Lightwave and get it into Max and somehow have the unwrapped UV data not lost?

Ya there are lots of ways to do this, all of them though involve exporting the model to some format that both programs can read/write (possibly through a plugin).

You could try writing to a 3DS or OBJ format, or use one of the expensive so-called translation software applications like PolyTrans that will allow you to port your work (with limitations).
