no sound...

hello, in reamwars and the crimeforce demo's i can not hear anything, i dont use an aftermarket soundcard, my mobo has a via chipset, my sound works in tribes 2, but not realmwars or crimeforce...
only thing i can think of is that i need a new sound card =/

It may be a simple case of the OpenAl drivers not loading.

Run the game with the parameter "-console" and post the output here.It may be a simple case of the OpenAl drivers not loading.

running on Win98SE
and i hadnt thought of getting OpenAL drivers (my bad) ill try that now...

ack, Where are OpenAL drivers located, i figured they would be in the downloads section of www.OpenAL.org, but i didnt see any. im gonna check my mobo's website now for drivers.
