Idea for Dragon concept in RW

When you look at RW, the theme and the general direction that it seems to be heading in, i got to thinking about Dragons and how they could be added to RW, and in what context, here are some of my ideas:
As a player;
As a Vehicle:
Small Dragon Statues implemented as deployable camera,s for wizards and elfs;
As a vehicle, the head or mouth mesh would need to be a seperate object and mounted as a weapon/controlled by pilot, im not sure how vehicle code will work in RW yet. Could a mage summon a dragon as a vehicle? im sure you coders could adapt some kind of spawn funtion that gets the player datablock and uses an "if else" to allow the player to mount, according to its class.
I dont know code but have a rudimentary understanding of the scripting in TGE.
What do you think has anyone considered this, or thought about such a concept, im sure if a modeler and programmer worked together on this it could be feasable.
As a note i cant see any other way of realisticly introducing flight vehicles into RW.
Please feel free to expand, flame, or generaly guffaw at this idea.
Pascal can you comment on how the RW team may react to this idea?.
I intend to go ahead at least with the modeling of a dragon vehicle and getting it into RW, as an experiment.

Then if RW gets to the point where This could be implemented as a vehicle, a lot of the groundwork would already be done, ie; mesh, anims and mountpoints coders can work with.
Of course in the meantime i could always submit the Static shape of the dragon as a statue for Decoration on maps, with stone textures, once i have the initial mesh built and exported to dts.

Thanks Pascal for your quick reply and yes i can see a lot your points, i presume no vehicle code is in RW yet, having thought some more about this, i see what you say about aiming dragon fire whilst not messing with the flight anims is difficult and the whole concept will require extensive animation, so here is what i intend to do; go ahead and start modelling the dragon, textures and the animations and exporting them to dts/dsq, and building the whole thing into a private MOD for T2. (not available to public) probably using a turret dts object for the dragon head and a second rider/gunner to control that as dragon fire weapon.Then if RW gets to the point where This could be implemented as a vehicle, a lot of the groundwork would already be done, ie; mesh, anims and mountpoints coders can work with.

Sounds like a great idea Taron, i'm very intrested in any progress you make so please keep me informed.

Getting in vehicles of any kind will be a lot of work, modleing, animations, and gameplay balance are things we have to keep in mind. Making a dragon or any other beast as a vehicle will only make it more complex, especially animations and how the animal reacts to the player, are things that are going to take a lot of time to get right. For intance how will you aim dragon fire without getting in the way with the flight animations?? IF we do a dragon i figure the animations are going to be hell any way, a dragon has 4 legs, 2 wings a long neck and a tail to animate, animations will have to show the greatness and heavyness of the dragon yet be elegant... Hehehehe who ever is going to do the dragon animations is going to have a whole LOT of work =O)
Any way, thing like this have crossed my mind but i didn't gave it much attention yet since there is still along way to go untill we get to the point of putting in vehicles and beasts and stuff..
