It will help you learn TorqueScript, which is the scripting language behind TGB. It will not help you with tools such as the level editor, however.

There is no "manual".. just some vague online help that links to the functions.. welcome to GG.

TGB is well documented in the included documentation with the engine. There are some tutorials online as well, though they span a number of different versions of the engine so you will have to futz with them to get some of them to work correctly.
