Is any one can tell me ,Should a company buy and use Torque to develop commercial games?
what are the merits and drawbacks compare Torque to other game engine such as Unreal?

The difference in pricing between Torque and Unreal is...well, unreal. For example. You can purchase a commercial license for Torque for $749 (or an indie license if you make less that $250,000 a year). And Unreal 2 is around $250,000-$300,000 for the engine licensing.

I would recommend searching the forums. There are a number of topics comparing various engines.

Unreal is a nice engine, if you can afford it. But most indie's cannot.

And don't forget that Unreal also requires that you pay a royalty back to Epic on top of thr $300K for licensing. Also this lawsuit isn't a very positive development.

GG does not require royalties on games made with Torque.
