Woah! That's some hefty announcement!! I don't even know the ramifications, but I'm pretty sure my community is going to like this one ;)

Thanks Michael, i hadnt seen that. I was hoping one of the employees could give a response with a rough number for cost. We'll see i guess.

Perhaps they are waiting on price announcements until they know the licensing costs for WiiWare and the work that Pronto did.

EDIT:
The price will most likely not be a single-package cost, but a combination of a WiiWare license, and a TGEWii license priced according to the target market. Similar to the way Microsoft is handling the Live Arcade slots. But right now the information on WiiWare is rather lean and the speculation huge.

We are waiting to commit on pricing until we have further details from Nintendo regarding how the process of developing for WiiWare will actually work.

I'm assuming that the license will include LiveMotion..? Can't wait for this to happen. Am a tester for a large publisher in the UK and am unable to get anywhere near game design as a career. The aquisitions department are only interested in game designs from dev teams rather than individuals. Am hoping to buy an Indie license for Wii development to 'flesh out' my designs.

I'm also assuming the license would include a dev kit, can't see how we can test code otherwise..?
