Mount object (selective) bug?

by Ori Cohen · in Artist Corner · 07/06/2007 (12:37 pm) · 4 replies

Hey,

from time to time tstpro doesnt want to mount object to mount points, at one point it works. a day later it doesnt, reinstalling doesnt work. in the past all i had to do is install a new version of it, i have no idea what causes this or how to make it work again. this process is realy simple, just add a character + add an item + mount item's mount point to the character's appropriate mount point, but it doesnt show.

ideas?

thanks.

I think I'm seeing the same problem. I can't mount anything to anything else. It's been a while since I used ShowToolPro, so maybe I'm missing something. Pretty sure I'm doing it right, because I've done it a zillion times.

Tried reinstalling, no dice.

Can anyone think of common reasons this might happen? David, any thoughts?

There is a small button on the top shelf, you click it and suddenly eveyrthing you mounted is visible.
try it :)

Ah, that must have been it. I did a complete uninstall then reinstall, which "fixed" it (previously I had only installed over an existing install). I must not have had that button pressed. Ack.

For the record, the button says "MP." And now that you tell me that, I'm pretty sure this has bit me in the butt before.

(David, maybe a good feature would be to have the process of mounting an object automatically toggle that button on.)

Thanks, Ori!

I would love an auto mount feature that you can supply a constant list of items to be mounted where.
usually you work on project and have to remount stuff all the time.

btw np spece.
