Origin Centering

I'm still working on programmatic methods of building mission files and prefabs, and I ran into a wierd problem.
I've been making .map files and converting them to .dif's to use as prefabs. Then I use a perl script to place them in the mission files. However, when I import the .map files, they seem to drift away from the previously set up world origin. How can I set them back to the origin, and is it possible to center an object on the origin? (This would make rotating it a lot easier.)
Any ideas? I'm hoping to use a feature of constructor, rather than coding something new in perl.
