New to Blender need help

Hello again,
I recently downloaded a copy of Blender (trying to reform from my sinful ways) and am looking for a good tutorial that walks through the construction of a model while explaining the interface and buttons in a relatively simple way. I tried the ones on the Blender.org website and, although they are good, am still pretty confused.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Mike
