Turn out the lights

by Adam Wilson · in Constructor · 06/25/2007 (9:27 am) · 3 replies

Is there a way to make a room completely black?(can't see hand in front of our face black) Now before I would just have a room with no lights and zoned out right. that isn't the case any more or one light and the rest of the room would be black.

EDIT:

And why I have your attention t lighting what is better to us Torque lights or Constructor lights?

Using Constructor 1.0.2 and TGE 1.5.2

You're using zoning, but the ambient lighting still passes through? There could be a bug in Constructor's zone generation. Does it work correctly when exporting with map2dif?

When you are talking about zoning are you talking about having a room and all the exits have a portal right.. then yes to your first question I am using zoning..

As far as map2dif goes ever seams you have released 1.0.1 I have yet to save out a map file and run it threw the map2dif with out it crashing.

So Ambient lighting is a know issue for passing threw even when you don't want it to?

I have come to fine out that even if you just build a hollow box and place your player inside it that you still don't get a dark room. Export as Dif to TGE

Can some one please give me the were Portals and lighting are at Constructor 1.0.2 and TGE 1.5.2

EDIT:

So I got map2dif_plus to work and yes the rooms that are closed off to the outside are black.. going to zone one out and add a portal to see if it will work.
