I like garagegame's site. It has everything I need/want... Forums, able to download games/demo, user logins, multiple e-mails for like customer support, able to buy products and have them shipped to you. Since I like the quality, I would like to know the webhost Garagegames used to have there site... Can anyone please answer this becuase I mite want the same webhost as them... =)

You would have to hire them.
this is all done in house.

And they just partnered with Akamai for global hosting... which is usually something only a company with enough money would do.

To restate what Badguy said, they don't use a host. It's all done in house.

www.dreamhost.com

Use the promo code: LAMBERTSOFT and you don't have to pay the setup fee and prices start as low as $7.95 a month and tons of features. Great host, I've never had problems with them.

Hosts offer addons like forums, php, mysql, project management, and shopping carts. Some are free, some are not. You can also find generic web templetes to use if your not going to code the site yourself (if you don't know html, asp, xml, php, sql, mysql, javascript, flash, photoshop, etc... ). www.godaddy.com offers most the stuff your looking for.

Personally I'd custom build the site from scratch, but I'm guessing you're not looking to do that. If you are... look into apache server with php and mysql. You can install it on your own computer for learning and testing...and its all free. And I'm guessing it's what they use for gg's servers.

I also recommend Dreamhost. i've been very happy with them for about five years.
they make it very easy to set up discussion forums, wikis, etc.

Hmm, I would love to do the coding myself. I already coded a few web pages for my site by scratch but I don't have a server for it yet.

Try IXWebhosting More goodies, more space, less price. Live chat tech support, support tickets, etc...
phpBB2 forums setup with a button click. Webshell access, unlimited email addys.
I've been with them for 5 years, and have had no problems at all. (4 domains registered, 2 live forums)
They also have a built in website builder and store.

I use 1&1 Internet and have been their customer since January 2004. I've had no problems with them whatsoever and they have given me the best customer service out of any other web host I had before them. In my personal opinion I think you get the best bang for the buck so to speak by using them. They give you tons of tools off the bat to create whatever you want, you can use their website builder, or you can create your own website using your own code. They give you $600 worth of free commercial software to get started, CGI scripts, SQL databases, FTP, free domains, Webshell access, and tons of other things, including Vouchers to advertise your site(Microsoft adCenter, GoogleAdWords, Yahoo! Search Advertising, and CitySearch). You've just got to check them out to see what I'm talking about.

They are always having specials to one up the competition and that's why I signed up with them as a customer. They offered me a free 3 year business package, and I used that for the last 3 years, then I bought their developer package at a discount when the 3 years was over with. I also acquired all of my domains from them too and since I get free domains included with the package it doesn't cost me anything at all to have top level domains. They also accept PayPal as a payment method! That pretty much sealed the deal for me right there. They are over the top is terms of value, of what you get for your money.

I highly recommend them.

It's worth checking them out to see if they are what you are looking for. Good luck in your search for a webhost.

Mike, I am probably going to get that. Thank you for the link. I will tell you all when my website is done. I do not know for sure about IXWEBHOSTING. Its either that or this other host I am going to get.
