Fishing Platform : Middleish ages

by Jared Reno · in Constructor · 06/20/2007 (11:20 am) · 8 replies

This was me tring to make a sword statue that turned into a fishing platform. Weird huh? The table thing you see is like a fish cage. Stick the fish in one of the holes and the cloth holds them in. Remove cloth to get fish. This way they dont flop out. Well tell me what you think. Any improvements you think of just tell me. Thanks!

Uhhh anyone know a better way to show your models off on here?

A great way to show off your model is to import it into Torque, then relight the scene. That will create shadows, which will give your model some depth. Here's what I mean by this. This model was created in Constructor then imported into Torque.

-Petey's critique-

- The thing that catches my eye, is the scale of the textures. I would scale them down. Unless this model is the size of a fish.?. If the brick texture is suppose to be stairs for poeple to walk on, then the texture scale is tOo large.

Mind explaining the scale down unless its the size of a fish. Ive read that over, waited two ours, read it again and have no clue what you mean. The bricks albeit are big but the part before that throws me off.

What I mean is, the model size. Are people walking on it, if so the texture scale is too large. I'm just a lil confused on the concept.

Well its like your pasting a 11 X 14 piece of paper on a 8X10 wall. The size of the platform isnt the problem Jared its the texture (paper) size that makes it look a bit uh chunky. The scale or size of the texture doesn't paste well with the size of the platform. Nice work too :)
