My mission isn't loading. (Currently doing provided tutorial)

Hi, I recently purchased this product and have been wading through the provided tutorial.
I got all the way to the GUI editor section, created the "Start" button, and proceeded to test it. However, when I did, I would either see the "Loading Mission..." or, "Waiting for server..." message and it doesn't do anything. I went back and made sure I saved everything and in the right place, but nothing changes.
I believe I followed the tutorial correctly, so any help would be appreciated.
